Meet the Team

Raymond

Resident Ginger

Meet Raymond, our resident ginger with an insatiable appetite and a penchant for mischief. With a knack for causing panic among unsuspecting clients who mistake him for an escaped hospital patient, Raymond’s presence adds a touch of excitement to the clinic. As the unofficial king of the hospital, he’s known for his stealthy manoeuvres to break into the hospital food cupboards, much to the dismay of the staff attempting to enforce his diet. You’ll often find Raymond lounging on top of other cats’ carriers in the waiting room, asserting his dominance with a regal air, or putting on his sweetest purrs in the hopes that someone will break open a treat packet.

Sammie

Administrative Assistant

Sammie became part of the Mayfield Veterinary Hospital team in November 2021, keen to combine her love for our furry friends with a career that enables her to learn and grow. You might remember her from her days running puppy preschool, handing out one too many treats to pets waiting in reception, or being chased down by a consult nurse because she didn’t want to give up cuddling a patient before their appointment. Although Sammie relocated to the UK in January 2024, she wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the team entirely, so she still lends a helping hand behind the scenes from afar. When she isn’t working, you’ll find Sammie with her wife and their very sassy Bichon Frise x Cavalier, Poppy, exploring the countryside and coastline of North East England, or warming themselves up in a pub afterwards

Julie F
